SkillUp Washington is a collaborative of state, city, foundation, and education champions for success - for potential workers and employers - with a specific, proven plan for altering the way we seize opportunity within the King County community.

SkillUp is about generating a stronger workforce by providing opportunities for those who need it most.
We are about hope, innovation, and leadership:
- Hope for thousands of people trapped in poverty because they lack the skills and access to an education that could provide them with the tools to change their lives for the better.
- Innovation for employers who are in need of a skilled pool of workers ready to take on high demand jobs.
- Leadership through collaboration and new ways of thinking that create a positive economic impact within our communities.
(3) Who is our primary target?
Our primary target is low-income working adults – Approximately 92,000 people living in King County, ages 18-54, with no postsecondary education credential and who have household incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level.
(4) What is a goal of ours?
Within the next 5 years, our goal is to double the amount of students, in King County, who graduate from postsecondary education programs.

SkillUp Washington (also known as The Seattle King County Workforce Education Collaborative) is a pioneering partnership of nonprofit organizations, community colleges, employers, private foundations and public and private agencies working together to help low-income working adults and employers meet the demands of a changing economy.
